Bob Keller - Jazz Tenor Saxophone

I began to play tenor saxophone in a New York City high school in 1955.  The great American standard songs of the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's and mainstream jazz was always the music played in my home.  After high school I went on to study music at Manhattan School of Music while working free-lance music jobs in New York City.  After graduation I went into the music business full-time.

My career spans fifty years and includes:

Big Bands (Buddy Rich Jazz Orchestra, Chuck Israel's National Jazz Ensemble, Walk Levinsky's Great American Swing Band)

Society Bands (Peter Duchin)

Theater Pit Orchestras (Annie, The Lion King)

NY Night Club Orchestras (Copa Cabana, Maisonette at the St. Regus Hotel, Empire Room at the Waldorf Astoria, Rainbow Room)

Free-lance Recording
